Our Cause
According to Statistics Canada, more than 7.1% of seniors (65 years and older) in Canada are living with dementia, two-thirds of whom are women. Approximately 76,000 new cases of dementia are diagnosed in Canada each year.
The Sold on Jen Team, lead by Jennifer Brown, hosted the first Picnic to Remember in 2018 following a close family member's Alzheimer's diagnosis (read more about our cause and sign our memory wall here). The 2018 event was such a success and raised more than $3500 for the Alzheimer's Society of Waterloo Wellington.
